    No registration fees. Everyone is welcome to attend the workshop.

    Traveling to Sydney

    • Everyone entering Australia needs a visa, except for Australian and New Zealand citizens. For significant fees, many companies will help you to get a visa but you can do this yourself through Australia government site ImmiAccount.
    • Depending on nationality, you will need either an eVisitor visa, ETA or a traditional visa. Please contact the organisers if you need any assistance with visas.
    • The most convenient airport is Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport (SYD), which is 9km (5.5mi) from the city and the university.
    • You can take the train from the airport to the city. The train takes about 10 minutes to central station and costs $AUD16.68. For all public transport (bus, ferry, light rail, train), you can use either an Opal card or a contactless payment.
    • An easy way to get from the airport to the city/university is to catch a taxi. This will take about 20 minutes in off-peak traffic and costs $AUD30–40.
    • There are several buses from the airport to the city, which takes 20–60 minutes(!) and costs $AUD3–17.
    • Hire cars, rideshare and taxi services and shuttles are conveniently available to book prior to your arrival, or on the day.

    Local Information

    • Conferences are often targeted by scammers who contact participants and encourage them to book conference accommodation through a third party. Please do not give any credit card information to companies who contact you directly because they are likely to be scammers. We will never ask you for your credit card details.
