International Visitor Program for 2019 - application deadline 31 August

With the confirmation of the new mathematical research institute, we have now opened a
second round of the International Visitor Program.  This round is for visits in the
period May-December 2019 (slightly overlapping the period of the first round), and the
deadline for applications is Friday 31 August 2018.  The application form is at:

Please see the new eligibility and selection criteria at the above page, and encourage
international researchers in any area of the Mathematical Sciences (two-digit code 01)
who may want to visit Australia to apply.  

A new feature resulting from the philanthropic funding of the institute is that there is
the possibility to fund visits whose primary destination is elsewhere in Australia.  The
School’s contribution to this program remains reserved for visits hosted by a member of
the School.  

The plan is to have the next call for applications due later in 2018 for visits in the
period December 2019-July 2020, and therafter proceed on a 6-month cycle.
